Reminiscing a bit today about our odyssey with the life and art of James Spencer Russell.
It was an eight year effort to obtain a major retrospective at the Indiana State Museum (which was a huge success) and a three year endeavor to research and write the book, Style Elegance and Wit, Rediscovering the Life and Art of James Spencer Russell.
Living with Russell’s Art enriches our lives, every day. None of this would have been possible without the vision, fortitude, and love of Jim himself, and his art, by our friend, Wade Bussert, of Kewanna, Indiana. Thanks to Wade, Russell’s story as one of Indiana’s finest modern artists has been told, and preserved.
