Well, the reality of the exhibition has come upon Mark Ruschman, Chief Curator of Fine Arts and the exhibition staff at the Indiana State Museum as well as our Exhibition Committee (Dr, Steve Conant, Mark Ruschman and Julie (Satch) and Ron Kern.
The museum is receiving art works from collectors and beginning any necessary conservation. The exhibition’s design is starting to take shape and work is beginning on PR.
One of our next steps will be to sort through Jim’s archive and select specific ephemera such a gallery cards, exhibition catalogs, photographs, letters, etc. that will be displayed which will help tell the story of Jim’s incredible life.
After these many years of planning and research it is incredibly exciting to see the exhibition come together, and it opens in seven months on April 4, 2014!
